PAR’s Hardware as a Service offering provides counter and kitchen hardware, includes services that support the entire life of the terminal

New Hartford, NY – July 19, 2022 –  ParTech, Inc. (PAR), (NYSE: PAR), a global restaurant technology company and provider of unified commerce for enterprise restaurants, today announced the launch of PAR Infinity™ (PAR™). The subscription-based hardware offering combines PAR’s purpose-built technology with industry-leading support services such as a 24x7x365 help desk, robust managed care capabilities, field service, and equipment exchange for the life of the customer. PAR Infinity relieves the burden of owning and managing the hardware restaurants rely on to operate efficiently and profitably.

PAR Infinity does not require payment upfront and PAR assumes responsibility for successfully implementing, maintaining, and updating the technology throughout the terminal lifespan. Customers can also add several industry-defining PAR products such as Brink POS®, a market- leading Point of Sale system, Punchh®, loyalty, offer management, and engagement platform, Data Central®, labor, scheduling, and analytics, and PAR Pay®, payment services.

“We’ve witnessed the rapid adoption of technology throughout the hospitality industry, but with the speed at which restaurants work, any IT issues can be costly,” said Savneet Singh, CEO and President of PAR Technology. “Every minute a restaurant is thinking about hardware, an upgrade or app integration, it takes time away from elevating the guest experience. Many technology vendors focus on putting their hardware into restaurants with little consideration for what happens once it gets there. When restaurants have PAR Infinity™, they are gaining a dedicated IT staff for as long as they are a customer.”

Anchored by the new PAR Helix™ terminal, PAR Infinity™ addresses one of the most common Hardware as a Service (HaaS) problems with an unmatched solution. Unlike other hardware vendors, where once the technology advances, restaurants are on the hook to purchase new hardware, PAR protects restaurants from technology obsolescence. PAR will take over the entire hardware process from installation and maintenance to upgrading, servicing, and eventual removal of the hardware when it is no longer needed. Corporate IT departments no longer need to invest time into day-to-day maintenance of the system, and restaurant staff can focus on serving customers and creating one-of- a-kind guest experiences.

“Historically, hardware would last for several years, and restaurant operators could manage the upkeep, but digital transformation is happening more quickly now, and operators are struggling to service their technology fast enough,” said Dorothy Creamer, research manager, hospitality and travel digital transformation, IDC. “Restaurant operators are seeking more support from solution providers in IT management and services to remove the need for them to act as technicians. IDC data shows that this is a struggle for the majority of restaurants, with nearly a quarter (24%) of operators naming systems maintenance the top challenge they face(1). In turn, restaurant operators are looking to IT managed services to ensure business resiliency, with 72% planning to increase investment making it the top growth area for IT spending in 2022(2). POS solution providers, like PAR are tapping into this need to act as end-to-end partners to empower restaurants to be more responsive to the changing needs of customers, focus on the guest experience and innovate at the pace customers have come to expect.”

PAR Infinity™ provides restaurants with the hardware and services they need to operate without worrying about the technology that their business runs on.

New Hartford, NY – June 29, 2022 –  ParTech, Inc. (PAR), a global restaurant technology company and provider of a unified commerce cloud platform for enterprise restaurants, today announced that Big Chicken has selected PAR’s Brink POS, Data Central Backoffice and PAR Pay for its food and beverage in-store technological requirements.

Big Chicken, the star-powered fast casual chicken concept founded by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, will utilize PAR’s leading software solutions to streamline its digital platforms. By choosing to partner with PAR and incorporate its software systems early in its growth phase, Big Chicken is aiming to ensure that it will avoid the typical growing pains of an emerging brand with overall guest satisfaction continuing as it opens multiple new restaurants.

“The foresight that Big Chicken had to incorporate PAR’s unified commerce platform so early in their expansion plans will not only help maximize each restaurant’s efficiency and profitability, but make sure that the focus stays on the guest experience,” said PAR President & CEO Savneet Singh. “We believe in each of our customer centric solutions and feel that by implementing them all together, Big Chicken’s leadership team, its team members and – especially its guests – will benefit from the guidance and support of our industry-leading software and support staff to confirm each restaurant operates smoothly.”

Brink POS, PAR’s robust point-of-sale (POS) solution, allows restaurants to integrate suppliers, accounting and payroll systems directly into the POS and consolidate information all in one place which in turn enhances the back of house experience with streamlined and more intuitive functions and procedures and therefore improving the front of house experience between restaurant and guest.

Data Central, PAR’s back of house software, standardizes and centralizes data streams like inventory management and labor management across all restaurant locations. PAR Pay is a subscription payment middleware application that is mobile and gift card friendly.

“We’re thrilled to announce this partnership and believe PAR and its solutions will help us ensure that all of our software works cohesively so we can focus on doing what we do best 𑁋 serving our guests,” said Big Chicken CEO Josh Halpern. “With several locations open and more than 150 in the development pipeline, our growth isn’t slowing down anytime soon and we want our franchisees and their teams to be able to focus on our food and our guests. To do that we need tools that can guarantee ease, correct & precise analytics, and consistency of service. PAR will be the point guard of our tech stack.”

Launched in 2018, Big Chicken’s menu fuses O’Neal’s home-cooked childhood favorites with bold flavors that were uniquely crafted by accomplished Las Vegas chefs Matt Silverman and Matt Piekarski. Since launching, Big Chicken fans have raved over the sandwiches, tenders, sides and hand-crafted shakes, connecting with Shaquille through the food.

Digital customer loyalty, offers and engagement platform details clients’ sales performances nationally and locally during COVID-19 spike from locations across 200 brands

NEW HARTFORDN.Y. (Oct. 21, 2021) – Amidst a surge of the fast-spreading Delta variant, restaurants across the country have once again been challenged with determining how to manage day-to-day operations in accordance with local and federal mandates and recommendations.

Today, ParTech, Inc. (PAR), a global restaurant technology company and provider of a unified commerce cloud platform for enterprise restaurants, and its customer loyalty, offers and engagement solution, Punchh, announced the release of its 2021 Fall Trends Report, which identifies its clients’ performances nationally and locally in cities where “no vaccine, no service” policies are in place – New York City, New Orleans and San Francisco. Results were analyzed based on year-over-year and month-over-month transactions from locations across 200 of Punchh’s global brands.

Comparing July through August 2020, versus the same time period in 2021, Punchh’s clients’ total transactions nationally were up 108%, and loyalty-based transactions increased over 28%. Loyalty sales overall were up 35%, and specifically, online loyalty sales were up an average of 14%. Year-over-year, the average check size was down nearly 64%, but the average loyalty check size increased 6%. Looking at June 2018 through July 2019 versus July 2020 through August 20, 2021, the national average check size saw a 9% drop-off, but loyalty check sizes remained the same. Total sales improved 24% nationally month-over-month, and total transactions were up 37% nationally over that same period.

At the local level, where the Delta variant spurred vaccine-related restrictions, compared to the previous 30-day period, Punchh analyzed 24.3 million restaurant transactions in New York and saw a 10% decrease in total sales and a 14% decrease in total transactions. However, online loyalty sales and online loyalty transactions held steady for New York diners. New Yorkers’ average check size was up 5.24%, and check size for loyalty sales saw a 55.12% increase month-over-month. Of the 3.3 million restaurant transactions studied in San Francisco, total sales, total transactions and check size all remained relatively steady month-over-month, while loyalty transactions jumped nearly 11% and loyalty sales were up over 8%. In New Orleans during the same time period, the 1.2 million restaurant transactions examined revealed that total sales, loyalty sales and transactions were all down, but the average check size did not decrease.

Punchh’s key statistics found that online sales year-over-year, month-over-month and across lockdown cities haven’t dropped, so despite uncontrollable, arduous factors, this revenue channel is continuing to hold steady. Additionally, both in-person and online loyalty transactions remained steady over the last 30 days compared to the previous 30-day period.

“With the pandemic resulting in many restaurants adding an online ordering component, guests are using loyalty programs more and more, as evident in the significant year-over-year jump in our clients’ loyalty sales,” said Shyam Rao, Punchh co-founder & CEO. “Loyalty solutions are connecting guests to the brands they love during a time that is unpredictable for both sides. These engagements are becoming a necessity when it comes to building lifetime value between fans and their favorite restaurants, ultimately bolstering the industry’s recovery.”

More than 200 global enterprise brands, including Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM), Denny’s (NASDAQ: DENN), TGI Friday’s, and Casey’s (NASDAQ: CASY) rely on Punchh to grow revenue by building customer relationships. To learn more about the Punchh Loyalty Offers and Engagement Platform, visit partech.com.
